Fushimi Inari Shrine (伏見稲荷大社, Fushimi Inari Taisha) is an important Shinto shrine in southern Kyoto. It is famous for its thousands of vermilion torii gates, which straddle a network of trails behind its main buildings. The trails lead into the wooded forest of the sacred Mount Inari, which stands at 233 meters and belongs to the shrine grounds.
I was staying in Osaka, and had the opportunity to visit this place on 16-Jun-2019. It was a very easy commute. I took the train from Shin-Osaka to Kyoto station, and changed to the JR Nara line to Inari. The station is right opposite to this beautiful place!
I would recommend to visit this place early in the morning because it is less crowded, especially if you want to take such pictures of beautiful array of the Torii gates. Otherwise it is usually packed with people during the weekends. I started from Kyoto around 6.30 am and reached Fushimi Inari around 7.30 am. It was very pleasant and the walk with a fresh breathe of air was an added beauty. Do not miss visiting this spot if you are in Kyoto! 😀
Here are some pictures that I took at this beautiful beautiful place ❤️
